About the Coach
Dion Flynn is a multi-talented performance coach and director. He holds a B.A. in Theater (SUNY) andM.F.A. in acting (NYU). Dion has taught business professionals how to use the tools of the theater and creative folks how to get down to business. 
He's taught improv and acting privately, as a guest artist and in workshops for Fortune 500 companies (Booz Allen Hamiltion, Price/Waterhouse, Herman Miller, EcoLab) and colleges nationwide. His one-on-one life coaching business took off in 2006 and has been growing ever since. A former solider with the US Army, Dion brings discipline. Having performed stand-up comedy in NYC and while serving overseas, he brings oceans of humor. Dion directed the (2010) documentary feature "Real Father" for TableTop Films and several solo shows in NYC, including PJ Walsh's critically acclaimed solo show 'Over There'. Dion knows how to help you shape your story. He's worked on the main stage of the Moth Storytelling Events, in Shakespeare in the Park (Taming of the Shrew w/ Allison Janney), at both The Public (Liev Shreiber'sHamlet) and Guthrie Theaters. Versatile, Dion has collaborated with artists ranging from Rosie O'donnell to Spike Lee, and was on the faculty at The People's Improv Theater (P.I.T) in NYC, performing and teaching for 4 years. Dion has been a professional coach for 13 years with a long list of happy private clients. As comic and writer he's been on VH1's Best Week Ever, in multiple national commercials and done tons of voice-over for radio, TV and the internet. Dion appeared in the TV sketch-comedy TV Loose Camera with Jimmy Fallon and in the film "Under Heat". A trained facilitator with the Anti-Defamation League's A World of Difference, Dion was half of the improv team of Farahnakian and Flynn with former SNL writer and People's Improv founder, Ali Farahnakian. Dion lives in beautiful Brooklyn Heights with his partner Amy.
